Tool Buttons
Creating a report is very similar to creating a VisualNEO for Windows publication. Like VisualNEO for Windows, every element you add to your report (database fields, text, pictures, etc.) is considered an object. Objects are created using the Tool Palette above. Each icon represents a different type of report object. Each object has distinct capabilities and features. To create a new object, select a tool icon (other than the Selection Tool) and use the mouse to draw a rectangle on your report. For most types of objects, a properties screen will appear requesting additional information. For example, when creating objects with the Text/Field, Formula or Picture tools, Report Designer will ask you to supply database fields, text or an image file.
